Blog 13: Data Set 5 Assignment
My question for data set 5 is what in the transcript utilizes the tools we have learned from Gee. My analysis of the data will show different tools we have learned from Gee inside the data set such as Discourse,Conversation and other trending tools. From learnig and writing about the different tools, I will decipher how the set relates to Discourse community and how is conversation being held . Basically i will dissect what is going on in the data set and provide an answer for each term we have discussed in class. I will also show the changes in conversation throughout the interview.

Blog 10: Surveys
The way language works is pretty complex but simple all in itself. Language works in many aspects, mostly concerning disocurse community. What people think, have heard or accustosmed to can change language in a big way. Certain words or phrases display emotion or certain assumptions-etc.-that can be taken either way. Aggressive or passive phrases can change the outlook on a whole situation or any conversation using language. Langauge is a big thing and holds many formulas and problems in it that can change conversation or any social aspect in society. Surveys are an example of language. However questions are placed inside of a survey can change the outlook on the one who is actually taking it. Ity is hard to explain but different wording formulas can be taken many different ways.
With surveys, there is alot of informaiton you can get from them. Working with surveys you get information on what a variety of different subjects care about a certain topic. This informaiton is based on the individuals interest them and what favors them the most so you can make ratios based off of the research. Anything that has to deal with quantitive research, surveys help out alot to gather information in a quick manner.
With obtaining surveys, there is also challenges tat come from these. When building a survey in mind, the researcher must create the survey to have good wording so the subject knows what is goin on at all times. Wording can easily confuse the subject if it is not properly structured. Another challenge is creating a survey to make a ration of numbers concerning the experiment. One must make a survey easy enough for the researcher to rationalize out the numbers to further the research. If certain aspects of the survey are messed up, it will be hard for the researhcer to further his research.

Blog 8: Revised Research Plan
For my research topic i will be researching the influence of votes that politicians receive due to the use of media such as social networking and other uses of media.
What i hope to show is the way technology has now been utilized now for more reasons than just entertainment. Being that technology is now a powerhouse in the midst of the nation and majority of the world, it would be plausible for politicainas to get their word across and ultimately gain the eyes and votes of the people.
With this topic being researched; i will need to gain research pertaining to this topic. I will first need to gain surveys from different students about the previous election between mitt romney and nBarack Obama and how many of them supported their politicians technologically. What i will also need is statistics and records concerning politicians who have used the web and other technologies to help gather votes (ex.Tweets and FB posts). I will need to find statistics concerning the rise of tweet views by the voters and the rise in tweets during the election times.
Who i will mainly focus on and research will be students or people who use social networking and internet media alot to get updates or to learn more about a topic-in this case political matters. How i will get these will be by interviewing and doing mass surveys between students and people to prove how often people use technology to get answers or to learn about something. Where i will mainly do interviews will be at Kean University and keep my research contained for easy processing and forming into a paper. For the age group, i shall survey people between the ages of 18-22. If i had to choose a major i would survey more of the technology majors and also polotical science majors. The specific amount of people i will need is a number that cannot be balance so i would go with about seven people to eleviate the workload on me.. Like i said, i need to keep it contained and easy to process and further my research.
Being as how technology today can be declared discourse analysis and also a common lexis between a mass group of people, discourse will be the main topic in my research. Another method will be personal interviews and also mass surveys to gain information to build my paper. It will be a strenuous task, but with all the right information i will be able to create a good paper with good information.
